Product
Is SwiftsReader actually designed for ADHD — or is that just marketing? ▼
Every feature traces back to peer-reviewed research. RSVP reading is backed by a 2025 PubMed study showing +13% comprehension in ADHD readers. Break reminders are grounded in Biwer et al. (2023) on Pomodoro-style intervals. Dyslexia mode implements the British Dyslexia Association's evidence-based typography guidelines. We publish our full research bibliography inside the app.
Is SwiftsReader available now, or is it still in beta? ▼
SwiftsReader is live — open the app right now with a free account. No waitlist, no credit card. The free plan gives you 3 papers and 5 AI summaries per month. Paid plans unlock more papers, unlimited summaries, and HD Voice audio.
Does it work on mobile? ▼
Yes — SwiftsReader runs in your mobile browser. The RSVP reader, AI summaries, and dyslexia mode all work on mobile. A dedicated iOS and Android app is on our roadmap.
What file types does SwiftsReader support? ▼
Currently PDF is the primary format — which covers the vast majority of academic papers and research documents. You can also paste text directly. DOI and URL import is on the roadmap.

AI & Privacy
How does the AI summarisation work? Is my paper data private? ▼
Summaries are generated using Claude (Anthropic's AI) via our secure backend. Your paper text is processed section-by-section to give you contextual summaries — not a generic abstract rewrite. We never sell your data, never use it to train AI models, and our full data practices are in our Privacy Policy.
Are my uploaded papers stored permanently? ▼
Papers in your library are stored for as long as your account is active. You can delete any paper at any time. If you close your account, all your data is deleted within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Does SwiftsReader comply with GDPR and CCPA? ▼
Yes. EU/EEA users are covered under GDPR — including rights to access, delete, and port your data. California users have full CCPA rights. We do not sell personal information to any third party. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Audio & HD Voice
How does the audio reader work? Is it robotic text-to-speech? ▼
Not at all. SwiftsReader uses Google Cloud's WaveNet neural TTS — one of the most natural-sounding voices available. As audio plays, each word highlights in sync so you can follow visually. This dual-channel input is particularly effective for dyslexic readers and dense academic content. HD Voice is available on Student and Pro plans.
Can I use RSVP reading and audio at the same time? ▼
They are designed as separate modes — RSVP reading flashes words at a controlled speed for focused silent reading, while HD Voice reads the paper aloud. You can switch between them at any point in the paper and your position is preserved.
